Fish and chips

I wasn’t feeling great tonight, and the idea of standing at the stove for half an hour cooking dinner was distinctly unappealing. So, unusually, I was the one who suggested fish and chips for dinner. And they were delicious. The kumara (sweet potato) chips were delicious, crunchy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The fish – always a bit of a gamble depending on what they can buy on the day – was tasty and delicate in a light batter. An excellent lazy Saturday night dinner.
