Textures and shapes

After a few days of unsteadiness, I managed to take a walk around the neighbourhood. No matter where I go, or how far, I always have to slog up a hill – either to start, or finish, usually both! It’s great exercise, and is never a gentle stroll. I like that about where I live. I like too, the textures I see on my walk. I forgot to photograph the floaty silver plants, the stocky South African succulents, or the spiky rosemary near the bus stop just up the road, to name just a few. Walking past my neighbour’s house which has a fence covered in ivy, I pulled out my phone. There’s something about the shapes and the layering of ivy that I love.
