I recently discovered another series which has made my heart sing. Extraordinary Attorney Woo was recommended by my sister-in-law, a lawyer herself who was fascinated by the differences between the Australian legal system and that in Korea. I usually find legal procedurals interesting, so I thought I would give it a try. But this one is so much more than a legal procedural. It is funny. It is sad, sometimes heartbreakingly so. It is fascinating culturally. And it is full of joy too. The more I watched (when I was folding the laundry, ironing, doing a puzzle, etc etc), the more I enjoyed it. When I got to the end I was sad it was over. But remembering it makes me smile in sheer delight.
