Asparagus and a visitor

As reported yesterday, we cleaned the house for a visitor. He arrived today, first time for three years, and we were able to spend lots of time catching up with family news, and reminiscing too. In shopping for dinner, there was lots of delicious asparagus on sale, and so I had the brainwave to make an asparagus pie for dinner. I’ve never done it before, but didn’t let that stop me. Puff pastry, a mix of cream cheese and parmesan, cayenne pepper and lemon juice, seasoning, a drizzle of olive oil, twenty minutes in the oven, and voila! A delicious asparagus pie, that went perfectly with a simple salad. Exactly what was wanted for the weary traveller. This recipe is a keeper!
