We roused the sleepy teenager again, tempting her with a hot chocolate and a sweet goodie at a favourite cafe, as the rain continued to come down. Later we went for a drive, had a lovely chat with her about her sport, umpiring, dealing with difficult people, language, etc. There was some reading, a short nap on the couch, and the rain still came down. There’s a reason the area we are visiting is called the Bay of Plenty. The rain feeds the avocado trees and the kiwifruit vines and the grass that feeds the cows, etc. It is all a delight.
