A Kiwi summer

Like most places, summer sees a shut down across New Zealand, and it conjures up a long school break, a holiday (vacation) away somewhere if we’re lucky, time at the beach, the pohutukawa in flower, a relaxed, happy time. So it was a delight to both enjoy a leisurely lunch at a vineyard today, as well as to explore some of the holiday hotspots in the region, seeing some of the classic kiwi summer scenes. In particular, the pohutukawa on the beaches, people swimming, surfing, building sand castles, yachts in the bay. Kiwi delights!
