This is both a delight, and very sad. Our regular local restaurant has been sold, and is closing – to reopen as a daytime café. It will stay open till February, but we decided we should go before Christmas too. Another couple we often go with joined us. And we had a lovely evening of fun and friendship, great food and good wine. The owners told us that January is already booked out, so this was probably our last dinner there. (Though we hope to go for brunch one Sunday in early January.) I’m just glad we have had so many enjoyable evenings there, and got to go and say goodbye.
