A perfect summer day. Yes, we hid ourselves away for three hours in a favourite cinema to watch the new Avatar, enjoying noticing how very New Zealand it looked (because of course it is largely made here) – after a free coffee, my first for about a week! Then we strolled back to our car enjoying an ice-cream (boysenberry for me, hokey pokey for him) on what was – for Wellington – a very warm day. Later we had a drink on the deck, and had a relaxed barbecue for dinner. One of those easy, lazy, summer days that fall between Christmas and New Year.
